OUR HISTORY
ShakeShuka was founded by Haleem Kherallah from Palestine. The concept originates from his mother’s recipes and the fresh local ingredients found in his homeland of Palestine.
This is the first Palestinian restaurant in London, which brings the most authentic dishes to the vibrant streets of Marylebone.

Shake Shuka
Shakshouka (Arabic: شكشوكة, also spelled shakshuka, chakchouka) is a staple of Palestinian cuisine , traditionally served in a cast iron pan or tajine as in Morocco with bread to sop up the tomato sauce.
It is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chilli peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. Its present egg and vegetable-based popular in the Middle East and North Africa.
Manakeesh
Manakeesh, Manaeesh, Manaqish or in singular form manousheh
(Arabic: مناقيش manāqīsh; sometimes called معجنات mu‘ajjanāt ‘pastry’) is a popular food consisting of dough topped with wild thyme, cheese, or ground meat. Similar to a pizza, it can be sliced or folded, and it can either be served for breakfast or lunch.
Maqluba
Maqluba (Arabic: مقلوبة) is a traditional Arab dish from the Levant, popular in Middle East. The dish includes meat, rice, and fried vegetables placed in a pot, which is then flipped upside down when served, hence the name maqluba, which translates literally as “upside-down”.
The dish can include a variety of vegetables, such as fried tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, eggplant, and chicken or lamb.
Kunafa
Kunafa (Arabic: كُنافة, [qūˈnā:fā] (About this sound listen), dialectal: [knāˈfei]) is a traditional Palestinian dessert made with cheese pastry soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup. It is popular throughout the Arab world, especially in the Levant and Egypt, principally in Palestine. Kunafa is popularly known to have originated in the Palestinian city of Nablus, and is the most representative and iconic Palestinian dessert.
